The postholder will lead Assessment Operations, managing the Assessments Team at the London Moorgate Campus and working closely with the Campus Dean, the Head of Operational Services and Campus Management team. The postholder will liaise regularly with their London Campus counterpart, Central Assessments team, Registry and teaching staff in ensuring a timely and efficient assessments operation is maintained. The Assessments Office functions include overseeing the Board of Examiners meetings, the finalisation and distribution of assessment schedules and materials, overseeing marking operations and managing logistical arrangements to ensure the smooth running of all examinations in London. Assessment Office Managers will ensure that accurate records relating to students assessments are maintained and oversee the publication of final assessments results. The Assessments Office must maintain a strong service orientation in responding to student and other key stakeholder enquiries.
The postholder will have strong leadership and excellent interpersonal skills, be methodical and meticulous in their attention to detail and have proven organisational skills. The postholder will be highly literate, numerate and be fully conversant with using student records databases. They will need to have advanced knowledge of Word and Excel and possess proven communication skills both verbal and written. The successful candidates will have significant experience in an educational environment, particularly in programme administration, assessments and student records. There will be an ongoing requirement to respond to multiple and simultaneous deadlines, work under pressure to meet targets, be consistently self-motivated; a team player working calmly in difficult situations.
