York Health Economics Consortium (YHEC) is looking to recruit a full time Senior Research Consultant, in the Systematic Reviews team to assist in review activity on a wide range of projects. YHEC is a health economics contract research and consulting company owned by, and based at, the University of York. YHEC provides consultancy and research to a wide range of public and private sector bodies.
The post involves developing and carrying out high quality literature reviews and identifying data as part of a wider project team assessing health economics, effectiveness and other evidence. The projects will be commissioned by public sector organisations, pharmaceutical/medical technology firms and food manufacturers.
The primary purpose of the role is to undertake and lead systematic reviews and other review activity on a wide range of project types. This will involve communication, explanation and discussion within a project team context to ensure that the research answers the appropriate questions and is appropriate to both the project specification and the project methodology. The role will suit people who like both, to work co-operatively as an integral part of a project team, and alone on their own initiative. The role offers opportunities for conducting research, contributing to research publications and presenting at meetings and conferences, as well as offering training.
