The Associate Creative Director (ACD) combines excellent visual and user-experience design skills with a proven ability to make decisions and push the creative team to deliver stunning work as well as overseeing the creative process and approach all the way through execution.
The ACD should be digitally savvy, and not only act as a mentor and leader for the creative team, but also work seamlessly across departments to deliver exceptional results and exceed client expectations. The ACD needs to represent the values and beliefs of the agency, both external and internal.
The ACD will contribute to the development of digital marketing strategies, drive the collaborative efforts of the project’s creative, user experience and technology teams, and inspire teammates on all levels to meticulously craft frictionless and accessible experiences that improve lives. The Associate Creative Director will work alongside the Creative Director on managing all client relationships for all things related to creative.
The ACD also contributes to New Business Development, and oversees and produce pitch presentation from a creative strategy point of view. He also needs to have a thorough understanding of Rhythm’s process, structure and values / beliefs. The ACD is at all time aware of project budgets, deadlines, and work assignments for the creative department.
Strong knowledge and expertise in interaction design, user-centered experience design, brand development and digital marketing
Responsible for articulating and defending conceptual and directional choices
Promote continual creative improvement and actively contribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration and excellence

Assist as needed in new business development efforts, review proposal and estimate efforts
Conceive and create experience-oriented design solutions that fulfill strategic business objectives
Responsible for inspiring and motivating creative teams and serve as overall creative lead and manage creative teams on and across major engagements
Direct all phases of creative work from concept through production
Responsible for mentoring and leading junior creative staff through critique of their work to maintain consistent creative quality and award winning work
Mentor team members across departments and lead by exceptional work ethic
Help manage the creative staff, as well as helping to review staff members’ performance
Accountable for developing and directing creative work of the highest caliber with their team
6-10 years experience in a creative leadership role (at least 3+ years digital agency environment)
A strong working knowledge of interaction design, user-centered experience design, brand development + strategy, digital marketing and the creative process
Experience managing the creative development process in a client-services environment
Strong ability to provide clear creative direction and provide timely and helpful feedback to improve creative processes to keep work on budget and schedule
Excellent presentation skills and communication abilities at all levels of both internal and client organizations
Strong ability to prioritize work and resources across engagements based on short and long-term needs
Fast-paced, highly collaborative, creative, progressive thinking, proactive, positive
